Our Beliefs

Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is inspired by God, inerrant in the original document, and of final authority in all matters of faith and practice. ( II Tim. 3:16, 17I Thes. 2:13II Pet. 1:21)

We believe that there is one God ( Deut. 6:4), revealed in three persons, coexistent, coequal and coeternal ( I John 5:7Matt. 28:19): Father ( Eph. 4:6), Son ( John 1:18), and Holy Spirit ( Heb. 9:14).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man ( I John 5:20;John 1:17Matt. 1:23I Tim. 2:5,6), born of a virgin ( Matt. 1:23Luke 1:23), and sinlessly perfect ( II Cor. 5:21I Pet. 2:22). Because of Christ’s sacrifice, He is the substitute for the sinner ( I Pet. 2:24I Pet. 3:18) and the one mediator who can effect the reconciliation between a Holy God in Heaven and a sinful man on earth ( I Tim. 2:5,6II Cor. 5:18,19I John 2:1,2). He was buried and rose bodily from the dead ( Acts 2:31, 32Luke 24:39) and ascended to His Father’s right hand ( Eph. 1:20), where He now ministers as our Great High Priest ( Heb. 4:14-16Heb. 9:24).

We believe that every man is separated from God and, by nature, sinful and lost (Rom. 3:23Isa. 59:1,2II Cor. 4:3). Recognition of this condition and repentance is essential for the salvation of man ( John 16:8-11Acts 3:19Luke 13:3II Cor. 5:17Titus 3:5). Redemption is wholly by the blood of Christ ( Heb. 9:12-14I Pet. 1:18,19) and salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ ( Eph. 2:8,9Rom. 3:24,25). Each child of God possesses the security of eternal life ( John 1:12John 10:27-30John 5:24).

We believe that every believer is indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit ( I Cor. 6:19,20Eph. 1:13,14Eph. 4:30), which happen at the time of salvation. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the believer is enabled to live a godly life ( Acts 1:8;Gal. 5:16-25).

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust ( John 5:28,29;Rev. 20:12,13), the everlasting blessedness of the saved ( Phil. 1:23Rev. 22:4,5), and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost ( Rev. 20:10-15II Thes 1:8-10).

We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His church. In view of the nearness of His return, which we momentarily expect, we believe that the greatest need in the world today is a return to the Word of God, which alone can bring individual peace ( I Thes. 4:16-18Rom. 5:1).
